Pastor’s Notes

Hello!

I hope you were able to dig out of the snow and that life is returning to normal for you. It’s been quite a winter.

Because of the snow we rearranged some of the lessons in February. You may notice that some of the topics listed this month are the same as those listed last month. This is because of the series of storms.

Please be sure to note that during Kids’ Church time on Sunday, March 7, is the annual Community Health Fair run by the University of Maryland School of Nursing. This event is FREE and for the whole family. What a great opportunity to receive free health screenings and advice from health care professionals.

By the end of March we’ll be beginning our Holy Week services in preparation for Easter. Please mark April 4 on your calendar and plan on celebrating Jesus’ Resurrection with us that day.

In March we’ll be learning from the Bible books of Ruth and 1 Samuel. We’ll also learn the story and meaning of Palm Sunday:

Be sure to ask you kids about these stories and see the crafts they’ll be making each week.

Health Fair

Don’t miss out! A FREE health fair is scheduled for Sunday, March 7, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at The Power House. This is a great event for all ages. See the enclosed flier for more information.

Easter

Easter is just a month away. Please bring the whole family and be a part of the Easter Morning Celebration Service on Sunday, April 4, from 11:00 a.m. – Noon. We’ll also be doing Easter activities during Kids’ Church at 3:00 p.m. that day.

The dates for Summer Camp 2010 are Monday, July 5 through Saturday, July 10.
