January 2011

Pastor’s Notes

Hello!

And Happy New Year! May 2011 bring you a new hope and joy in all areas of your life.

As we look to the New Year I want to encourage you to step up your commitment to Christ in 2011. Keep encouraging your child’s spiritual development and participation in church activities. At the same time, take the opportunities you have to learn, worship, and fellowship with your child in a Christian environment.

You’ll want to note that between now and Easter we’ll be reviewing events in the life of Jesus during the Kids’ Church time. This provides a great opportunity you to talk about those stories and your own faith with your child.

Thank you for your continued trust in us. We pledge our focused attention on your child’s spiritual development in 2011.

In Christ,

Pastor Jeff Anderson

Pastor’s Notes

Hello!

The Holiday Season is upon us! I by the sounds of things from the kids, Thanksgiving was filled with great food and family gatherings.

As we look toward Christmas we have many things going on to help celebrate Jesus’ birth. Naturally, throughout this season we’ll be learning the nativity story during Kids’ Church. This includes special crafts and opportunities to thank others for what they’ve done for us in 2010.

In addition, we have events for the whole family. Details about the Arundel Singers Christmas Concert on December 12 and the Christmas Eve Service on December 24 are featured in this newsletter.

I would also invite you to join you kids at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, for the Kids’ Church Christmas Celebration. It’s a great way to celebrate the season together.

My prayer for you and your family is continued blessings in this season and throughout the new near. Thank you for letting us share in the lives of your family.

In Christ,

Pastor Jeff Anderson

This event is FREE and for the whole family. What a great opportunity to receive free health screenings and advice from health care professionals.

By the end of March we’ll be beginning our Holy Week services in preparation for Easter. Please mark April 4 on your calendar and plan on celebrating Jesus’ Resurrection with us that day.

In Christ,

Pastor Jeff Anderson

January 2010

Pastor’s Notes

Hello!

Happy New Year! As we reflect on 2009 we see so many changes that have taken place.

The kids at church have grown. They’ve gotten physically bigger and more mature. They’ve grown in their understanding of and relationship with God. They’ve also brought friends to church which has helped the group grow as well.

As we look to 2010 so many new things await us. Summer camp is coming for some of the older kids while Bible School will be for the younger ones. We’ll have a variety of activities throughout the year to help celebrate what God is doing.

This is the time of year when people make commitments. I want to thank you for your and your child’s commitment to growth at Kids’ Church during 2009 and hope that you will extend that commitment through 2010.

May 2010 bring blessings to you and your families.

In Christ,

Pastor Jeff Anderson

Hello!

Thank you for having your children participate in Kids’ Church at The Power House. My hope is that they both enjoy their time at the church and leave having learned something that will help them throughout their lives.

Many kids have come to Kids’ Church for the first time in the past few weeks. This has been great! Please continue to encourage your kids to bring their friends and neighbors with them. All kids age 4 through grade 8 are welcome.

In addition, many kids have been faithful in their attendance throughout the fall. Thank you for reminding them and making sure they get to church on time each week.

As Thanksgiving nears, please know that we are thankful for each of your children and hope that we can be a blessing to them and the entire family.

In Christ,

Pastor Jeff Anderson

Have you heard the kids talking about a boy named Innocent? Innocent lives in Tanzania, Africa. Each week at Kids’ Church the kids have a chance to donate their change to help with his sponsorship. The money buys him clothes, food, and clean water. It also pays the fees he needs to go to school. We get letters from Innocent and pictures of him a couple of times each year. Our kids are making the world a better place one person at a time!

Ms. Jenn Moves

Ms. Jenn has been a part of Kids’ Church since she moved to Pigtown over 6 years ago. She now decided that it was time to move back to be near her family in Michigan. September 20 was her last Sunday at The Power House. We thank you, Ms. Jenn, for all you’ve done over the years and wish you well in your new home.

Pastor’s Notes

Hello!

On behalf of everyone at The Power House I would like to thank you for letting your kids participate in Kids’ Church on Sunday afternoons. It is an honor that you trust us with a portion of their spiritual development.

As we continue through the year please be sure to continue to remind your kids of the activities each week that they may grow in their knowledge of God’s love for them and his work in the world.

Again, THANK YOU for this honor and keep up the good work.

In Christ,

Pastor Jeff Anderson
